Security Measures We Take to Safeguard Your Personal Information
1. Our data collection and storage methods
Protecting your privacy is our top priority and core commitment. That’s why our plugins run entirely on our users’ WordPress websites, meaning we do not collect or store any of their Facebook or Instagram platform data. This ensures full compliance with the Facebook Platform Terms. Our shape policy is also applicable to all other platforms available on our plugin.
Here, we can also ensure your site securely encrypts and stores only your chosen data, keeping it for your set timeframe. After this period ends, the data is automatically removed. Even, we do not gather information from your website visitors, transmit Platform Data to our servers, or share it with third parties at any time.
Overall, you have full access to your data, so you can erase all Platform Data anytime through the Delete All Platform Data button from the plugin’s Advance Settings option.
2. What data do we process?
When you use WP Social Ninja to integrate your Facebook or Instagram feeds, the plugin processes the following data retrieved from their platforms:
3. Reason for data processing
Personalization: Your name and profile picture help create a customized experience within the plugin.
Account Selection: You can choose which account to connect to the plugin by viewing a list of your Facebook pages or Instagram profiles.
Content Display: Information from your Facebook page or Instagram profile is used to fetch and showcase your social feed and reviews.
API Connection: An access token securely connects to the Facebook or Instagram API and retrieves content for the selected page or profile. This token provides permissions based on your choices during authentication.
4. Role-Based Access Management
Our plugin functions strictly in read-only mode, ensuring it cannot alter, publish, or modify any content on Facebook or Instagram. Its primary purpose is to fetch and display content on your WordPress website without the ability to post updates, make changes, or interact with your account in any way. It does not support actions such as editing, liking, commenting, or deleting content.
When you use our plugin to display content from your Facebook or Instagram account, you must authorize access through the settings panel. During this process, our application may ask for specific permissions, which could include some of the following:
pages_show_list: This permission is required to fetch the names of your authorized Facebook and Instagram accounts. Since WP Social Ninja supports multiple Facebook and Instagram feeds, we use this permission to display a list of your connected accounts in the settings panel.
This allows you to quickly identify and manage specific accounts as needed. It works alongside other required permissions to ensure seamless account management.
instagram_basic: This permission lets us display details about the Instagram accounts linked to WP Social Ninja. It allows the account information to appear in the header above the feed and helps identify the connected account.

It allows WP Social Ninja to retrieve the name and username of the connected Instagram Business account. The settings panel displays a list of authorized accounts for easy identification and management.
pages_read_engagement: This permission enables us to access follower count, page content, and other relevant metrics. We present this data in different formats to showcase social proof, highlighting the engagement and impact of your posts.
pages_read_user_content: This permission allows WP Social Ninja to access and display user-generated content from your connected Facebook Pages. It is essential for retrieving posts, photos, videos, and other content published on your Facebook Page, Displaying Facebook feeds seamlessly within your WordPress website, and ensuring that only authorized content from your connected pages is fetched.
business_management: This permission is required to fetch the names of social feed accounts from platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Since WP Social Ninja allows you to connect multiple accounts, we use this permission to display the names of the authorized Facebook and Instagram accounts in the settings panel.

This permission allows us to see data related to the number of followers, read the page’s content, and other metrics. We show this data in various ways as social proof that your posts are engaging.
