Converting Personal Account #
To convert your personal account into a professional account, follow the steps below accordingly.
- First, go to Instagram.com, log in with your account credentials, click on your Profile Picture in the top-right corner, and select Settings and Privacy from the dropdown menu.
- Then, click on Account Type and Tools from the left sidebar, and select Switch to Professional Account.
- Now, based on your needs select the Account Type for your Professional Account. You can choose either a Business Account or a Creator Account.
- It is time to choose a Category that suits perfectly to your profile (e.g., Blogger, Artist, Local Business, etc.). Also, you can choose whether to display this Category Publicly.
- Then, Instagram will ask you to Add or Update Contact Details (e,g., email, phone number, or address). You can choose whether to make this information Public.
- Now complete the remaining prompts to finish the setup. Once you are done, your account will be converted to a Professional account.
Remember, after converting your personal profile to a Business or Creator account, you will need to reconnect your Instagram account to the WP Social Ninja plugin. This ensures your feed continues displaying posts seamlessly without any interruptions due to the API change.
