Global WooCommerce Review Settings #

To find these settings, navigate to your WordPress dashboard and go to WP Social Ninja → Settings. From there, select the Review Platform tab and click on the WooCommerce Settings section.

These settings, found in the WP Social Ninja dashboard, allow you to control how reviews are collected and displayed across all your WooCommerce products. They apply to every product by default, but you can override them on individual product pages.

These review settings will only apply to products that are connected with a WooCommerce Review Template in WP Social Ninja. If a product is not included in a template, these settings won’t take effect.

Auto Syncing: Enable this to automatically fetch new reviews submitted through WooCommerce. Use the dropdown menu to set how often the plugin should check for new reviews (e.g., every day).

Make WP Social Ninja as Default Reviews: When enabled, WP Social Ninja takes control of your review display, replacing the standard WooCommerce review style with your selected WP Social Ninja template.

Hide reviews count?: Enable this option to hide the summary text that shows the total number of reviews (e.g., “Based on 15 Reviews”).

Hide reviews title?: Enable this to hide the main heading (e.g., “Reviews”) from the top of the reviews section on your product pages.

Template placement: This dropdown lets you choose where the review template will appear.

  • Display Inside Reviews Tab: Places reviews inside the default WooCommerce “Reviews” tab.
  • Display Outside Tabs: Places reviews outside of the tabbed content area.

Reviews Form: Select which form visitors will use to submit reviews.

  • Inherit from WP Social Ninja: Uses the custom form you have styled globally.
  • Default Woocommerce Form: Uses the standard, unstyled WooCommerce form.

Select Your Template: Choose the default review template that will be applied to all WooCommerce products across your site. This serves as the primary template for your entire store.

After configuring these options, always click the Save Settings button to apply your changes.

    1. You can do both, just choose which template you want to display, then go to WooCommerce Settings -> WP Social Ninja -> Select Template (choose the one you want)

        1. At the moment, there is no option to select all products at once. Products need to be connected individually.

  1. Because of I don’t have any product reviews. Can I show Google reviews in the product reviews tab?

    1. The documentation focuses on WooCommerce reviews, so you’ll find information specifically related to integrating WooCommerce reviews. However, if you have a Google Business Profile with reviews, you can use our plugin to display those Google reviews on your WordPress website. Please note that without existing reviews and the appropriate platform integration, you won’t be able to display reviews in the product reviews tab.

  2. None of my WooCommerce users have images. This produces a gray silhouette instead of their image, I know I can hide this, but what about the possibility of a small thumbnail of the product that was reviewed instead.

    1. Currently, we do not offer this customization option for the profile image. The system follows these steps:
      1. Check for a Gravatar image linked to the user’s account
      2. If a Gravatar image is found, you can display it
      3. If no Gravatar image is available, you can only display the default placeholder image
